Tuesday night blues!

Arsenal 2-1 Cardiff
What to do on a cold sub zero Tuesday night in February whilst a blizzard blows hard? I know let's go watch Arsenal beat Cardiff!
What could be possibly worse, I mean it's freezing cold and Arsenal are playing Cardiff, they love the cold, right? Arsenal won't fancy it, what if it's horrible? What time will I get in and theres' work tomorrow?
I went, many didn't, I don't blame them.
The team news brought a couple of surprises, no Maitland Niles in the squad, rumours of another injury and no Xhaka. Would we need him against Cardiff anyway? Ozil back on the coldest night in living memory? #deisionsdecisions
Arsenal: Leno, Lichtsteiner, Mustafi, Monreal, Kolasinac, Torreira, Guendouzi, Elneny, Ozil, Aubameyang, Lacazette
Now despite an early chance from Lacazette and a brief 5 minute spell at the end of the 45, the first half can only be summed up in one word...Diabolical with the emphasis on the bolical! Arsenal didn't concede but should have done and at the other end where as blunt and as useful as a wooden bowie knife. Memories of me chucking that thing aimlessly at a tree when I was five came flooding back, not one short on target, so I'll leave it there!
Elneny on and more of the same laboured stuff. Less of a Cardiff threat, but it's Cardiff FFS!
With the crowd beginning to lose the will to even whinge Unai brought the house down by bringing Lichtsteiner off who had really struggled as an attacking force and brought on "Living the dream" Jenkinson. The game needed a bit of Panto and a plucky young hero, and I personally prayed for a winner off his shin, where the boy would run round the whole pitch twice before falling into the hoardings Mr Blobby style, but sadly the game change in more conventional circumstances.
In the 65th Iwobi found Kolasinac on the overlap and one dumb challenge later, it was a penalty. No argument, up stepped Aubameyang, 1-0 to the Gunners!
Ramsey came on for disappointing Ozil, (He doesn't like snow either.... who knew?)
In the 83rd minute Lacazette who had been Arsenal's best player on the night got "knocked down and got up again"..he then picked up the ball up on the right hand touchline, drove into the box, and despite the best efforts of the keeper the ball found the back of the net. 2-0 Arsenal! A really determined goal, one a little bit lost on both the pitch and in the ground on the night.
There was still a nod to transfer deadline day as Arsenal conceded a soft goal in injury time but that was it. After the FA Cup disaster and important 3 points to keep the dream of top four alive. The fans went off for A whiskey drink and vodka drink, for songs about good and bad times.
Positives: I got home and the heating was on.
Negatives: The day in general.
Apart from Lacazette 7/10 the rest get 4/10.
Next up, Citeh away. Large take of breath!
